The scarves and shawls shown below are designed by women in Latvia who have a passion for weaving… it is not just a livelihood, they create each piece; weaving with a wooden shuttle on a wooden loom, back and forth by hand. They memorize the weaving pattern, changing yarns and shuttles as necessary to achieve the unique design. At the end of each piece, the fringe is delicately hand tied and knotted. These museum quality treasures are special gifts that become an heirloom, worn on special occasions and cherished forever! Below is just a sampling of the many designs available. Prices are based on the size of the scarf or shawl. The smallest size is 15″x70″ and retails for approximately $100.00 Larger sizes cost only proportionally more.
