BALTIC LINEN DESIGNS offers custom weaving to apparel and home furnishing designers. Designers can offer their own weaving patterns, or choose
Studio weaving
an existing pattern or warp density and change yarn colors, and fibers to create a unique look.
Our minimums? There is only a six (6) yard minimum for any custom weave, and there are a wide variety of dyed yarns at the mill which allow us a relatively quick turn-around on new developments.
For new patterns and changes in warp density, there is small development charge to cover labor costs. For large programs, the development charges can be refunded. We work primarily with pure linen, but other yarns; Alpaca (USA raised), merino wool, silk, cotton and viscose can be combined with a linen base. We can also spin your one boucle yarns.
Apparel Designers can also order scarves and shawls in custom colors; The minimum order would be equivalent to six yards of fabric @54”.
